Tour Guide

Entrance Gates
Your adventure begins at our Main Entry to Halloween Town. From here the queue line to enter the haunted house begins (VIP's may bypass this line and go directly to the VIP Counter). Visitors to Halloween Town may also bypass this line to explore the attractions and vendors here.

Information & Guest Services
Find answers to questions from any of our uniformed Hosts or at the VIP Counter. They can help you with information, lost and found, and first aid.

VIP Entry Gate
For all of our VIP Guests, please use the VIP Garden Entry Gate, right off the main town square. You will be able to pay for and gain immediate entry to the haunt at this special VIP entrance.

Group Sales Windows
If you are part of a group of 15 or more and intend to pay in one transaction for all members of your party, you can do this at the Ticket Windows when you enter the haunted house.

Guest Receptions
Having a party? Tying the knot? Take advantage of our reception facilities to begin celebrating. This decorated space holds up to 150 people and can be yours during non-event hours. You can serve food and beverages, play games, arrange for entertainers like magicians or roaming monsters, and then be the first to enter the haunted house when it opens. Speak with one of our Monster Party Hosts at 503-288-2037 who can go over the details and make your reservation.

Smoking Areas
Scream at the Beach is non smoking, except in designated areas. Generally that's anywhere outside the buildings that's at least 50' away from any entrances or queue lines. Please be considerate when smoking and deposit your trash properly.

Guest Parking
Jantzen Beach Center has ample free parking for all of our guests. Please use caution and watch children around moving cars. We recommend carpooling whenever possible. Follow the signs or the sound of the screams!

Behind the Screams Tours

Lost Children
Our Guest Service Hosts and Security Team are happy to help parents track down wandering children. Although this is a rare occurrence and no child has been eaten by a monster yet, we want to ensure that your experience is fun and memorable for all the right reasons. If you get separated, ask any uniformed team member or costumed character and they will be happy to assist you.

Lost & Found
It happens all the time: Guests start screaming and clutching at each other and things go flying. Phones, sweaters, hats, shoes, jewelry and more can find the most interesting places to hide. But fear not! Contact any uniformed team member who can arrange for a infrared sweep of the attraction where you think you lost your item. If you have no idea where you may have lost it, ask for a lost and found card. If your item turns up, Guest Services will contact you to arrange for its return. Fortunately we have a great track record of finding and returning lost items.

First Aid
Contact any uniformed or costumed character in any emergency. We have trained medical personnel on site during all event hours who can assist in the event of an emergency.

ATM's
The ATM is located inside the mall, across from the food court. In addition, there are ATM's located at several banks on the island, including US Bank across the street from the mall.

Pets
Guide dogs and service animals are welcome in all of our restaurants, shows and retail locations. We apologize, but they may not be taken into the haunted house for obvious reasons: your animal may react unpredictably to a threatening situation, endangering other Guests, our cast or you. Please enquire if you would like an escort. Pets, other than service animals, are not allowed at this event or the Jantzen Beach SuperCenter.

Costume Guidelines
All event attendees-including adults-may dress in their favorite Halloween costume and must follow these and other guidelines as determined solely by Scream at the Beach:

  • Costumes may not be obstructive, offensive or violent.
  • Guests may not wear masks - your face must be visible (pirate eye patch okay).
  • Costumes should not drag on the ground.
  • Costumes should not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Costumes should not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Guests of all ages may only wear costumes to the Scream at the Beach event to which they have valid tickets.
  • Guests may not dress as or represent themselves to be official cast members of the event.
Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into the event unless their costume can be modified to meet the above standards.
