Role Details
Scream at the Beach is designed to take guests into a world of horror and adventure. Each season we bring back updates to our favorite themes and introduce new ones to keep it fresh and make what's waiting around every corner a new surprise for new and repeat visitors. Our cast members play a key role in bringing this terrifying world to life.

Cast Director

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and volunteers
  • Ensure accurate and timely input of applicant/candidate information into database throughout recruitment process
  • Interact with Cast Members to determine specific needs
  • Maintain regular communication with Henry to keep him updated on the progress of recruitment efforts and share with him any challenges/barriers to meeting Cast Member requirements
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving, provide leadership in resolving issues that arise during the recruitment process
  • Help to maintain a quality volunteer experience
  • Check in Cast Members at start of each evening and assign them to specific roles that they will play during the night
  • Participate in development/implementation of Recruitment Marketing tactics including Community Outreach to assist in generating qualified applicant flow
  • Support the implementation of new operating strategies for improving service and efficiency
  • Supervise the internship and development programs
  • Handle enquires from volunteers regarding SATB policies, procedures and incentives
  • Develop the weekly schedule plans for Cast Members based on manpower demand
  • Review weekly and daily monster requirements so as to match operating conditions
  • Update the daily Cast Members' attendance and time records in the system
  • Communicate the scheduling and time recording policies and procedures to Cast Members
  • Handle complaints and grievances of Cast Members and provide mediation services to resolve conflicts
  • Participate in Cast surveys, activities and recognition programs
Requirements
  • Completion of our Monster Training
  • Team player and result-oriented
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Must have effective follow-up and organizations skills to ensure paperwork is thorough and complete
  • Must exemplify the values of SATB and share those values with our cast members
