Scream at the Beach has returned for their ninth season to the Jantzen Beach Center. Organizers have moved the event into the former Circuit City building at the Center, plus two more retail stores nearby. At a total of over 60,000 sq ft, plus the parking lots for the carnival rides, it's their greatest expansion to date.

"We have some remarkable surprises in store for our guests this season," said Henry Miller, the event Producer. "Halloween Time at Scream at the Beach is packed with spook-tacular fun for the whole family-with alluring attractions, tricks & treats, crafty creations, chilling rides and shows, and more."

But the biggest news to hit Town is that they've eliminated all of the long lines—both for buying tickets and for entering the haunted attractions with their new check-in system. You will have the entire evening free to enjoy all of the event activities, rather than stand in long lines!

This is good news for the over 35,000 guests who attend this annual community favorite. It attracts both families and teens with it's Disneyesque approach by keeping everything family-friendly. "We do not make use of an overabundance of gore, violence, satanic references, or adult language or content," Miller continued. "But that is not to say that it's not scary. Quite the contrary. Last season, as is the case every year, we had thousands of people wet their pants or make an early exit due to the frightening nature of our entertainment. We employ a wide range of industry tricks and special effects, great actors, and creative environments to inspire fear, choosing to make this a quality haunted house that people will talk about well after Halloween."

Scream at the Beach will be open on the weekends for the first two weeks and then daily from the 15th to the 31st.
