Scream Entertainment Inc., is a non-profit educationally focused 501(c)(3) organization that provides theatrical learning experiences for teens and adults, ages 16 and up. We raise funds for our own needs, as well as other local non-profit organizations at our fun events. We also seek donations to help support our programs. Our mission:
- To provide education and training to the public through workshops, seminars and performances that teach practical skills in theatrical set design and construction, make-up, costuming, acting in and managing community-based theatrical entertainment and events
- To promote the exchange of knowledge and information about producing community-based theatrical entertainment for seasonal cultural celebrations
- To promote participation in theatrical entertainment and events as after-school activities for youth as a way to reduce dependence on government programs, foster self-esteem, earn credit for community service, and combat community deterioration.

Tax Deduction Guidelines:
Generally, donations of money or goods to Scream Entertainment, because it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, are tax deductible. When donating money or goods the value of which are over $250, the donor needs documentation from the nonprofit showing the name of Scream Entertainment, the date and amount of the contribution, if cash, or a description of the property, if goods, and a statement that no goods or services were received in return. Scream will provide this to you via email or in written form. For donations less than $250 in cash or goods, the donor just needs proof of the donation in the form of a cancelled check, receipt or other reliable written record.
Out-of-pocket expenses while serving as a volunteer may also be deducted. The donor needs to have receipts, cancelled checks or other reliable written records documenting the expenses. Mileage travelled for nonprofit purposes can also be claimed as a charitable donation deduction. For 2010, the deduction is 14¢ per mile.
