Cast for 2002 Season

Saturday, September 14th, marked the begining of the rehearsals for a remarkable 2002 Scream at the Beach season. Cast members, err, make that, Monsters, were taught safety, guest handling and show related issues while touring the various haunts. Designers for the attractions shared the story behind each of the four themed environments and the technical aspects for making them work.

Cast members were also privlidged to get a sneek preview inside The Keep so they could experience what it was like from the point of view of a guest. Screams issued from the darkness as the cast encountered slime covered walls, bats, dripping water, blasts of wind, and a small glowing "visitor" that chased screaming victims down a long hallway, cornering some who couldn't find a way out. What came as a surprise to the designers was how long it took everyone to make it through, and how many ended up lost or turned around, going the wrong way. Naturally, they couldn't be more pleased with this, how successful the effects worked and how eerie the environment was, judging by the screams and comments that followed everyone's exit back into the light.

Here are two photos taken of some of the cast for this season taken on the first day of rehearsals. These individuals were most effective at delivering growls, grunts and grumbling with great gusto, with their favorite reward being the never-ending screams from our guests.
