On a space station near the edge of the galaxy. You are with a group of people selected to study new life forms found on the a strange and remote planet. You are greeted by Dr. Xyphon. A Xeno-biologist.

"Welcome to the new specimen containment facilities." he says. "We carry many of the new life forms found on this planet. Come follow me."

Your excited but a little afraid. As you were waiting transport you heard some bad things about this guy over the subspace transmitter.

"Don't be afraid." He says as if he knew your thoughts. "We haven't had any disasters here for at least 3 months!" Come, first feel these new xenofloristubi samples. Go on! Isn't it nice! Isn't so squooshy!"

You think, 3 months? Squooshy? who is this guy? What a geek. Well, you stick your hand into dark looking container. You have to reach really far down. The container seems too small to have such a deep reach. At the bottom you feel some slimey tentical type stuff. It suddenly, wiggles and moves!!!!!

"Yuck what is that?" You shout with out with out thought.

"Oh don't worry. It's only fecal sample taken from the local flora and fana. Now come this way." He says with a laugh.

You wipe off your hands and follow into the next room. It looks like an operating room. You see some weird alien being disected, glass containers with small insect like creatures. There are also some hollowgrams of a real scary looking beast. The good doctor is rambling off all kinds of useless medical talk as you walk around looking at the room. As you back against one of the water filled containers to get a better look and another alien sample, "Kerthump!" The specimen in the container behind you attacks the glass!

"Don't touch that!" The doctor says. " Ok, now come to the holding pens. You'll love all the new things we got in there!"

The next room looks like a jungle. Strange creatures are behind several fences, glass walls and cages. "None of these creatures are hostile." He says with glee. The only things hostile here are the Zarlax. Those critters are mean. But not to worry. They are kept in very strict containment."

As if an answer to his gloat, the lights flicker and go out. The animals go crazy! When the lights go back up you see creatures jumping around. Some lay dead. Equipment is thrashed! You try to go back but the blast doors close!

"OH! NO! NOT AGAIN!" The doctor shouts! " Hurry! help me get to the main exit!"

You run past a few more rooms, other ghastly things are seen. you get to the Zarlax holding pens. The cages are destroyed. "Their queen must have escaped our sensory blocks!" The no good doctor says. " This is worst than last time! Hurry! they might be on their way to head us off!" You run, not far before the wall tears away behind and to the side of you as two half insect half mammal looking beasts screech after you! suddenly from an air duct another one grabs Dr. Xyphon! He disappears in to the hole screaming. His last words are etched into your mind.

"Stupid bug monkeys! AAAHHG! Go on with out me!!!!!!"

You, then have to enter a dark laboratory. pitch black. Accept for glowing eyes and the flicker of strobe lights in parts of the room. When you make it out, you turn a corner and face the Queen Zarlax. She is big! Lots of Teeth! Towering above you, you have to dodge out of the way of her huge talons by hiding behind large crates. You see the exit. "ESCAPE NOW! AAHH ---gurgle gurgle..." You hear over the intercom as you run out the door. As the last person in your group runs out you hear a computer voice say: -----Cleansing contamination program executed.----- Fire and smoke fill the room just in time as two more Zarlax chase to the door.

With a cloud of smoke you exit into the main halls. Alive. You decide that maybe, interplanetary research, just isn't your kind of work.
